hot takes
Partnering with acclaimed London-born director Tyrone Lebon and streaming site Mubi, Bottega Veneta have released a new film starring a selection of creative high-flyers giving their hot takes on masculinity, identity and what their wardrobes reveal about them.
Encompassing a wide range of both male and female creative talent, from actors to musicians, directors and artists, all are caught in the act of dressing by Lebon’s lens, for whom this is the latest in a series of collaborations with Bottega’s creative director, Daniel Lee.
Bottega Veneta: Men stars Barry Keoghan (actor), Dick Jewell (director), George Rouy (artist), Michael Clark (dancer), Neneh Cherry (musician), Obongjayar (musician), Octavian (musician), Roberto Bolle (dancer), Roman and Tricky (producer), who are shot against a simple white background as they pull on select, yet season-less, pieces from Lee’s two-year spell at the brand. Each item resonates with the uniqueness of the individual and their story, emphasising the dynamism of Lee’s design since taking the helm at Bottega and the importance of identity to his vision.
The film will be available to stream worldwide for free from midnight tonight until August 6th 2020, either online at Mubi or Bottega Veneta.
