This year’s LVMH Prize winner is… [drum roll] Nensi Dojaka.

Awarded the Prize by six of LVMH’s most acclaimed artistic directors – Virgil Abloh, Jonathan Anderson, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Marc Jacobs, Kim Jones and Stella McCartney – the Albanian-born, London-based womenswear designer came out top beating 1,300 applicants from over 110 countries to take home the 300,000 euro reward and an invaluable year of mentorship from LVMH experts. Elsewhere, the Karl Lagerfeld Special Jury Prize was split between three winners: KidSuper founder and designer Colm Dillane, Shanghai designer Rui Zhou, and Cape Town’s Lukhanyo Mdingi. Each bagged a grant of 150,000 euros and a one-year mentorship program from LVMH.

Inspired by her CSM lingerie studies and abstract art, Dojaka creates womenswear that alters perceptions, crisscrossing delicate lines to reveal glimpses of skin and alter silhouettes. This month will see the designer show her fourth collection as part of Lulu Kennedy’s Fashion East incubator, having joined the initiative in 2020.
