Come Together
In celebration of their 30th birthday, Armani Exchange are throwing a birthday party in London, two to be exact. And then one in Rome, then Tokyo, then Cologne and then Antwerp. But do you want to know the best part? We’ve all been invited. Linking up with London’s NTS Radio, the collaborative duo are embarking on an exploration of music, nightlife and youth culture, pairing stores across the globe with local musicians, DJs and underground tastemakers as they explore the brand’s role in the hazy world of nightlife since its inception in 1991.
To mark the momentous occasion, each artist will pay tribute to the brand (and indeed the hedonistic spirit of 90s dance music) by creating mixes for the nts.live archive, with some even finding their way into A|X Armani Exchange stores across the globe. Participating artists range from Belgian DJ Blck Mamba in Antwerp, avant-trance experimentalism courtesy of Lorenzo Senni, UK Garage legend Todd Edwards and plenty more.
Stressing the DIY origins of NTS, the Dalston-based radio station that attracts listeners in over sixty cities per month, the initiative is also calling upon local talent to light up stages in both Peckham and Bermondsey this coming November. With the duo keeping the lineup of their London under wraps for now, NTS will also be curating stages in Paris and Cologne, with custom A|X Armani Exchange clobber and artist merchandise available at each show.
91 FORWARD kicks off from October 15th, so head to your local A|X Armani Exchange store or check in at nts.live for more updates
