The biggest night on the UK fashion calendar is back, and in a big way. Presented by TikTok, who recently teamed up with the British Fashion Council as the official sponsor of London Fashion Week last month, The 2021 Fashion Awards have finally teased their nominees for the coveted Designer of the Year award.
HERO 26 cover star Jonathan Anderson is amongst the many colossal names up for the award, with other nominees including 2019’s Menswear Designer of the Year Kim Jones, Bottega Veneta’s Daniel Lee, Miuccia Prada, Raf Simons and Balenciaga’s Demna Gvasalia. Talk about stiff competition.

Taking place on Monday 29th November at the Royal Albert Hall in South Kensington, the iconic awards ceremony will look to the industries’ role at the intersection of creative culture with special live performances and a tribute to some of the biggest fashion moments of the year.
With over 1000 key members of the international fashion industry being invited to vote across the show’s many awards, the BFC has also introduced a Leaders of Change accolade, which will be presented to an array of designers, creatives and individual spirits who have fostered positive change in the industry this past year.
American designer Tommy Hilfiger will be honoured with the Outstanding Achievement Award for his work ensuring brand inclusivity, with the results for the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator and the NEW WAVE: Creatives spotlight of over 50 up-and-coming designers from across the globe being announced on the night.
