Get involved
This week sees Photo London return to the city for its seventh outing. Boasting 106 galleries from eighteen countries, the fair is a holistic celebration of photographic talent, from nascent talent to established stars.
Keen to get involved, Dover Street Market have curated their own schedule of exclusive drops, launches and limited-edition products coinciding with Photo London. Here’s the lowdown on what you can expect from the iconic store this week.
Dive into the acid trip
IDEA books have published a new book by cultural documenter Dave Swindells titled Acid House As It Happened, collating images from his time photographing the UK acid house scene in the 80s. Between nights at famed clubs Future and Shoom, to illicit events organised in car parks, bus depots and warehouses, we see people letting loose, lost in the trance. Initially documenting the movement as nightlife editor of Time Out, now these images are curated into a weighty tome that transports you to those makeshift dancefloors.

Nab some arty postcards
DSM has some very talented friends, and for Photo London, the store has asked some of them to make postcards and posters which will be up for sale. There’s a gang of Marine Serre models atop a classic car, an abstract Craig Green vision and a Stephen Jones vision of classic millinery.

Sports cards, but fashion
Legendary British artist Jamie Reid is the man behind the Sex Pistols’ most iconic artwork, designing works such as the artwork for their infamous record Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols. Reid’s practice seems an ideal fit for designer Chopova Lowena’s own brand of punky romance. And so it’s proven as the pair team up on a special installation for Lowena’s FW22 collection, which reimagines models as sportdeck characters and includes postcards, temporary tattoos and stickers.
See some jewels
Need a bit of sparkle in your day? Cartier collector and aficionado Harry Fane will be showcasing his incredible collection of vintage Cartier necklaces and jewellery in the Ground Floor jewellery space with some incredibly rare pieces from the 40s and 50s.
