Summer Is Coming
Fresh from sell-out collaborations with the likes of Carhartt WIP and Uniqlo, Marni is back with another highly-covetable capsule; joining forces with lifestyle brand No Vacancy Inn founded by Tremaine Emory, Ade ‘Acyde’ Odunlami and Brock Korsan, whose multiform project has garnered a reputation for being at the fore of streetwear.
As the next instalment of Marni Jam, the collection brings to life the Italian house’s ethos of merging like-minded entities in the name of creativity. Building a collection that bridges both brands’ signature codes, the accompanying campaign is captured through the lens of Ghanaian artist Derrick Ofosu Boateng on the sands of Accra, building a kaleidoscopic world of saturated hues.
Steeped in 70s nostalgia, apparel, accessories and footwear nod to the glory days of Venice Beach. Marni’s signature vibrant colour palette and patterns define the collection as one-piece swimsuits are fashioned in psychedelic prints and crochet co-ord sets are knitted in bright stripes. Palm trees are etched onto baggy denim, rainbow-hued bikini tops are paired with mini skirts and Marni’s signature bags get a makeover with frayed rope handles and contrasting leather trim. Sunglasses, bucket hats, visors and bumper sneakers complete the collection, offering a wardrobe that screams, “Summer hurry up!”
The collection will be launched globally with an event at Maxfield LA and available to purchase online at marni.com on April 20th.
