Last week saw Ty Segall roll into Detroit, performing at the city’s historic art deco Majestic Theatre. Currently touring the US as Ty Segall & Freedom Band – backed by bassist Mikal Cronin, guitarist Emmett Kelly, keyboardist Ben Boye, and drummer Charlie Moothart – the Californian musician opened the show with Manipulator and closed with a roaring rendition of My Lady’s On Fire, a classic from 2018 record Freedom’s Goblin.
