In today’s fashion economy, nothing is bigger than the concept of pre-loved. Leading the way has been Vestiaire Collective, the leading global platform for pre-loved luxury fashion, founded in Paris in 2009. Now, in an effort to make sure their pieces will last for generations, Burberry have teamed up with Vestiaire Collective to offer customers a new way to trade in their pre-loved Burberry pieces.

From today, customers in the UK and US are invited to trade in their pre-loved Burberry women’s outerwear and handbags on the Burberry x Vestiaire Collective platform, in exchange for a Burberry gift card. Vestiaire Collective will then offer customers a price for their pre-loved item. Once the price has been accepted by the customer, the item will need to be shipped to Vestiaire Collective, where a rigorous authentication and quality control process will take place. The customer will then receive a Burberry gift card.

As part of the partnership, Burberry has also donated a selection of women’s Heritage Trench Coats to the platform. The sale price of these items will be donated to the UK-based charity Smart Works, which provides high-quality interview clothes and coaching to unemployed women in need.
