Timothée Chalamet and Martin Scorsese’s Chanel campaign film just dropped

Remember back in early 2023 when paparazzi pics of Timothée Chalamet and Martin Scorsese surfaced shooting something on the streets of New York City? Well, it was the commercial for Chanel’s classic men’s fragrance, Bleu De Chanel and it’s finally here. In October of last year, we unveiled an exclusive BTS film in which Scorsese discussed working with Chalamet and “the conflict between celebrity and staying true to being an artist,” now you can watch the striking film in full.

After directing the first Bleu de Chanel campaign in 2010, the film marks the esteemed auteur’s return to the French house and his inaugural collaboration with Chalamet. Delivering a script tailored to life in the 21st century, the American actor stars in a hyperbolic tale of his own existence, taking to the hot seat on late-night TV or heading home to a New York City skyscraper. Soundtracked by Herbie Hancock’s 1983 hit Rockit and shot in striking black and white with occasional flashes of electric blue, Chalamet searches for authenticity in a world of deceit – embodying the fragrance’s tagline: “Find your blue, find yourself.”
