Icons collide
For Craig Green’s SS25 collection, presented inside his East London studio, the designer revealed a collaboration with Fred Perry, reinventing the brand’s synonymous polo. Given Green’s penchant for experimentation and deconstruction, he has blown apart the shirt and reconstructed it in a style that acts as a bridge between both brands.
For over 70 years, the Fred Perry Shirt has been an icon of British fashion but this collaboration signifies a bold new direction for the iconic piece. Experimenting with layering and structure, a duo of reversible shirts are crafted with doubled fabrications, pairing contrasting faces to create a singular new garment. In addition, two quilted styles are instantly identifiable as the work of Craig Green, reimagining the Fred Perry Shirt with the designer’s signature stitched channels running vertically through its piqué construction. On each garment, Fred Perry’s laurel motif features alongside Green’s circle logo.
