By Alex James Taylor | Art | 2 April 2025

Last Spring, Ann Demeulemeester creative director Stefano Gallici launched Kids, a self-curated, self-photographed visual diary celebrating the talents who inspire and ignite his collections for the Belgian fashion house.

Today, we exclusively premiere the SS25 chapter of Kids, dedicated to Los Angeles and a new generation guiding the city’s vibrant cultural landscape. Featured names are acclaimed actor, musician and Heroine 22 cover star Sophie Thatcher, Nitefire frontman Nico GeyerGrammy-nominated record producer and songwriter Chris Greatti, multidisciplinary artist, poet, and producer Dove Armitage, and writer, model and film archivist Isabella Scaffidi. “Los Angeles is starting to feel like a new home for me,” says Gallici, whose recent FW25 collection was centred around California’s counterculture heritage and the romance of a highway road trip. “Every time I return, there’s this immediate sense of familiarity. It’s a place where I feel deeply connected to my creative process. Working here feels effortless – the city’s energy flows naturally, and everything comes intuitively. It’s as if I already know how the project will evolve before it even begins. LA has become a space for constant exploration, where I meet new people, form meaningful connections, and build on the ideas that seamlessly integrate into KIDS.”
