Parisian footwear brand Adieu has teamed up with Rue Perrée boutique The Broken Arm to release a special edition shoe. The collaboration sees the Type 28 from Adieu’s killer FW14 collection reimagined in emerald green textured premium horse hair resting atop a black crepe outer-sole – a pretty authentic version of the iconic creepers worn by the likes of The Sex Pistols and The Clash.

It’s fitting: Adieu co-founders Isabelle Guedon and Benjamin Caron design with an aesthetic heavily indebted to the enduring style of UK subcultures, predominantly most notably Teddyboys, Punks and Mods of the 50s, 60s and 70s. FW14 took this strain further, looking to the bowling scenes and Tokyo by night.

“It’s a combination of clean lines, radical design and poetic and refined material with the pony – a real human and professional encounter,” the duo told us of the collaboration.

The Broken Arm have stocked Adieu’s collections since the first, so it was only natural that they should collaborate on one joint project. The style is exclusively available from The Broken Arm – another excuse to make that pre-winter Eurostar weekender a reality. Go on.
