Peter Dundas has parted ways with Roberto Cavalli after three seasons, having been appointed creative director in March 2015.
In a statement released by the house, Gian Giacomo Ferraris, Chief Executive Officer of Roberto Cavalli said: “On behalf of Roberto Cavalli and our shareholders, we thank Peter Dundas for his contribution to the brand, and we wish him well for his future. As Roberto Cavalli goes through a period of transformation, the design team will carry on and the appointment of a new creative director will be made in due course.”

“I want to thank Roberto Cavalli and the Group for this valuable experience and I wish them the best in their future endeavors,” said Dundas. “I am especially grateful to the ateliers and the teams who participated in this adventure.”
Known for his lavish 70s aesthetic and rock ‘n’ roll influences, Dundas designed six collections for the Milanese house – his final collection was shown at this season’s Milan Fashion Week SS17. Having worked as head designer for the house between 2002 and 2005, the Norwegian designer then became creative director at Emilio Pucci in 2008 before returning to Roberto Cavalli in 2015.
