When news of Pedro Almodóvar’s Saint Laurent-produced western hit HERO HQ, we had the date marked in the calendar immediately. As if the stills weren’t enough to get the excitement flowing, the trailer is officially here so you can watch Ethan Hawke and Pedro Pascal take on the roles of two hired gunmen reconnecting after a 25-year hiatus in all their glory. Titled Strange Way of Life, the Spanish auteur’s short film is set to premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival in May.

Founded in LA, Nike’s Re-Creation project was first born from sourcing local vintage and dead stock pieces to bring products from a conscious design process to life. As the brand continues to shift its focus to achieving a zero-carbon, zero-waste future, the next chapter of the capsule arrives in London via a collaboration with Jaimus Tailor’s design project Greater Goods. Launching in Nike Town this weekend with a one-of-one collection combining creativity and innovation, a wider collection is set to follow later this year.

First introduced on the runway of Glenn Martens’ FW23 Diesel collection by an avalanche of 200,000 Durex condom boxes, the Diesel x Durex capsule collection is finally here – aptly titled the Big D Drop. Encapsulating the brands’ mutual belief in democracy, choice and sex positivity as a human right, the collaboration compiles a series of branded t-shirts, hoodies, baseball caps and denim as a tangible realisation of the message.

Tom Ford has delivered a surprise swan song collection in the form of the brand’s FW23 offering, marking a departure from his namesake label. Comprised of his favourite looks from the past thirteen years, the archival collection is a retrospective of greatest hits. Red carpet ready gowns stand alongside denim leopard print co-ords and signature sequin mini dresses meet sleek suiting. Accompanied by a campaign from renowned photographer Steven Klein, models such as Joan Smalls, Karlie Kloss and Amber Valetta stand poised behind glass barriers, embodying the untouchable nature of Ford’s brilliance.

Givenchy is hitting the beach for the pre-FW23 collection with MMW’s first resort collection. The Plage Collection is designed to bring together a wardrobe transferrable from city to sand inspired by the refined lifestyle at Le Clos Fiorentina, Hubert de Givenchy’s seaside estate in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat. Revisiting signatures from both past and present, the collection features sailor stripes, chain motifs, woven macramé, pearls and pastel pink all fashioned into silhouettes merging sensuality with sporty wearability.

Now complete with a lineup of eight finalists including Irish born designer Robyn Lynch and Anthony Alvarez’s french menswear brand Bluemarble, this year’s International Woolmark Prize is spotlighting the best in the business. Briefed to design a six-piece collection tied to the theme of ‘Dialogue’ while showcasing the beauty and versatility of Merino wool, this year’s collection reveal takes the idea one step further with the introduction of a collaboration with legendary artist Joan Jonas. Accompanied by a visual project recreating the iconic artist’s 1972 piece Delay Delay, the likes of Loyle Carner and Taylour Paige showcase the finalist’s collections.
