Time flies, so to keep you in the loop, we’ve rounded up all the important snippets of fashion news from the past seven days into one neat feature. This week includes Kiko Kostadinov’s first LA store, Haider Ackermann’s debut Canada Goose campaign and a new Stone Island film.
JW Anderson’s loafer bag just dropped
In JW Anderson’s previous two runway shows, the only accessory which has been present on the runway is the designer’s Loafer Bag. One of the most anticipated accessories of the season, you can finally get your hands on Anderson’s newest silhouette. The bag takes its name from the classic penny loafer, as details of the shoe are deconstructed and reconstructed in bag form across hues of chocolate brown suede, supple mustard and black leather.

Haider Ackermann’s debut Canada Goose campaign
Haider Ackermann has unveiled his debut capsule collection as Canada Goose’s first-ever creative director. Released under the brand’s heritage label, Snow Goose, the new collection sees Ackermann delving into Canada Goose’s near-70-year archive, reviving classic pieces and silhouettes while reflecting on his own personal connection with nature and outerwear.

Kiko Kostadinov new US postcode
Earlier in the year, Kiko Kostadinov touched down in Tokyo and now the brand has headed stateside with the opening of their first store on US soil. Located in Los Angeles’ Melrose Hill gallery district, the store will act as the brand’s American flagship, continuing the conceptual language developed for Tokyo’s store by artist Ryan Trecartin.
Issey Miyake launch a new accessories line
Launching for the very first time in London, Good Goods Issey Miyake is a line of design-orientated accessories that launched in Japan in 2018. Each bag exists in the intersection between experimentation and practicality with products such as the Mokko S.C. 2, for example, is a soft knit bag created from a single thread that is fully washable and ideal for everyday use. Elsewhere there is the ultra-cute Box, which is a bag that takes the structure of a simple box when not in use but can transform into a functional bag with a strap.

Coperni’s Christmas campaign
‘Tis the season for Christmas campaigns and Coperni’s might just be the best one yet. Forgoing the generic set-up of a model donning the brand’s latest collection, Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant decided to have a bit of fun with their furry friends as the brand stars Pippa, Tupac, Harry, Prosper and Neo – the designer’s own Italian greyhound. Reference TV adds from the 90s, the pooches are captured under the Christmas tree and on a mound of presents which includes Coperni’s infamous Swipe bag and knee-high boots.

Palace’s Holiday collection is here
It’s no secret temperatures are dropping and it’s bloody freezing, but Palace’s Holiday collection has just dropped which means it’s the perfect excuse to get a new puffer jacket. Presented in a lookbook shot by Theo Sion, key pieces from the collection include faux fur-lined bomber jackets, chunky knits and teddy fleeces.

Puma and END celebrate Dalston’s legendary Mangal II
Commemorating the 30th anniversary of cult East London Turkish restaurant Mangal II, Puma and END have recreated the sports brand’s timeless 60s suede silhouette in Mangal II’s distinctive clyde royal blue exterior, with the restaurant’s signature hallmarking emblazoned in gold foil on the heel. Founded by Ali Dirik and now run by his sons Ferhat and Sertaç, Mangal II is one of the tastiest establishments in the city, and now also the most stylish.
Only 300 pairs of the limited-edition END. x PUMA x Mangal II Suede sneaker will be available to buy via END on Friday 6th December.

Lanvin returns to the Paris Fashion Week schedule
Lanvin is well and truly back. After the announcement that the former head of couture for Balenciaga, Peter Copping, is to take the reins as artistic director, we now have news that Lanvin will be returning to the Paris Fashion Week schedule with a FW25 men’s and women’s runway presentation in January.

Schott NYC x Dukes Cupboard
Legendary brand Schott NYC have teamed up with London vintage brand Dukes Cupboard for a reworked of the classic CWU bomber. Inspired by its original air force heritage (cropped to allow pilots to sit in the cockpit) and its 90s rave icon status, the new jacket comes in blue and black iterations, with a Dukes logo on the back. The accompanying campaign sees the jacket being taken for a spin by cult jeweller Toby McKellen, while the brands will celebrate the collab this Thursday with a launch party at Dukes’ Soho outpost.
The exclusive and limited jacket is available in-store from Dec 5th.
