ICYMI: Louis Vuitton’s new formal, Balenciaga’s fanclub and Saint Laurent’s Donald Judd exhibit

Time flies, so to keep you in the loop, we’ve rounded up all the important snippets of fashion news from the past seven days into one neat feature. This week includes Loewe’s new bag, Slawn’s Nike kicks and Kiko x Asics. 

 

Louis Vuitton’s FW25 formal collection
Pharrell’s ever-evolving vision for Louis Vuitton enters the world of traditional suiting for the brand’s latest collection. Focusing on the heritage house’s penchant for craft, the collection executes classic tailoring in shimmering silvers, periwinkle blue, pinstripes, and monochromatic black and white. Logo motifs appear throughout atop embossed leather, silk lining, buttonholes and cufflinks, fusing archival references with Pharrell’s cutting edge creativity.

Balenciaga’s Fanclub series
As part of Balenciaga’s Fall 25 collection, the brand released a series of t-shirts reminiscent of vintage tour merch, but with their brand ambassadors’ faces emblazoned on the front. To coincide with the launch, the house has released a series of selfies featuring Isabelle Hupert, Nicole Kidman, Michelle Yeoh, Kim Kardashian and PP Krit Amnuaydechkorn pouting in their respective fan tees.

Saint Laurent’s Donal Judd exhibition
To mark the reopening of Saint Laurent’s Rive Droite Paris store, the house has partnered with the Donal Judd Foundation to curate an exhibition of the American artist’s minimalistic works. Alongside a selection of Judd’s works from 1961-1944, the store will also be home to Anthony Vaccarello’s exclusive collaboration with Donald Judd furniture.

Loewe’s new Puzzle bag
Now a signature in Loewe’s accessory repertoire, Jonathan Anderson’s Puzzle Bag has arrived in a new featherlight nappa lambskin, making it the lightest and softest iteration of the bag so far. Inspired by the art of paper folding, this new variation of a classic is crafted in hues beige, cherry red and teal.

Kiko Kostadinov and Asics reunite
Since their first collaboration in 2017, Kiko and Asics collaborations have gone on to become instant sell-outs every single time. Reuniting this season on a new instalment of the Gel-Kiril III silhouette, the design shifts focus towards the functional elements that define Japanese craftsmanship and industrial heritage.

Slawn teams up with Nike
Fresh from a successful solo run at Saatchi Yates, UK-based Nigerian artist Slawn has become best known for his kaleidoscopic graffiti art and now he’s turning his hand to sneakers. Partnering with Nike, the artist has designed an exclusive new take on the iconic AIR MAX 90, the black and white silhouettes feature a paint speckle design, turning his graffiti practice into a piece of wearable art.

Courrèges SS25 campaign
First seen on the runway in September last year, Nicolas Di Felice’s SS25 collection focused on the beauty of repeated cycles, delivering a series of looks that prioritised the sleek minimalism. Now, those same principles are reflected in the accompanying campaign lensed by Mark Borthwick, portraits are captured against a pristine white backdrop with rectangular cut-outs acting as windows into the unknown.

Louis Vuitton unveils the LV Biker
First debuted on the brand’s SS25 runway, LV’s Biker bag became an instant classic. Carried by Blackpinks Lisa and Saoirse Ronan in the accompanying SS25 campaign, the Biker is the latest statement accessory from Nicolas Ghesquiére’s vision for the house.

Maison Margiela x Gentle Monster is back
Reuniting for their third collaboration, Maison Margiela and Gentle Monster are dropping another series of futuristic eyewear. Featuring twenty silhouettes, designs this season take their inspiration from intergalactic activity, adopting a cybercore aesthetic through metallic hardware and exaggerated silhouettes – all complete with Margiela’s instantly recognisable four white stitches.
