Cheat Sheet
With London Fashion Week finishing yesterday, there is barely a moment to catch our breath as Milan Fashion Week begins this afternoon with Gucci kicking things off at 3pm. But don’t worry if you haven’t had the time to properly analyse the Milan schedule, we’re here with our cheat sheet to make sure you don’t miss a beat.
DSquared2 @ 30
We know what you’re thinking. Dean and Dan don’t look a day over 25! But the reports are true, DSquared2 is celebrating its 30th birthday this year. From fitting out Madonna for the Drowned World tour to designing the kit for Juventus, DSquared2 has remained one of most versatile, and beloved, fashion brands for three decades. Their FW25 show, which will be the last show on the first day of Milan, is going to be a night to remember. Or, even better, a night so good you won’t remember a single second of it.
DSquared2 will be showing on Monday, 25th Feb at 20:00
The Fendi centenary show will be a blowout
Back in 1925, Adele and Edoardo Fendi opened a fur and leather shop on the Via del Plebiscito in Rome. From the humblest of beginnings, the Fendi name grew and grew over the following decades. In the 1960s, Karl Lagerfeld joined the company, bringing new energy to the brand. He introduced the now-iconic double-F logo, expanded the product line to include high fashion and, later, ready-to-wear collections. His vision transformed the small family-owned business into a global fashion empire.
The FW25 show in Milan this season has been designated as the centenary show and it promises to be an absolute blowout. With Kim Jones’ resignation as head of womenswear recently, this Fendi collection is going to go co-ed with Silvia Venturini Fendi, who usually only heads up the menswear, working double time to create a celebratory event.
Fendi will be showing on Wednesday, 26th Feb at 19:30
David Koma debut at Blumarine
Having been announced as Blumarine’s new creative director back in July ’24, David Koma has spent the past few months slowly teasing us with what his Blumarine will look like. A number of attendees at last year’s Fashion Awards, including actress Alice Pagani and Lily McMenamy, gave us the very first glimpse at Koma’s designs, which were very much an extension of his trademark sleek and sexy silhouettes. A pre-fall lookbook last month suggested that he has been looking at Blumarine’s 1980s collections whilst also pivoting slightly towards the Gen Z shopper. His show this season will be his first runway presentation and promises to be a highlight of the calendar.
Blumarine will be showing on Thursday, 27th Feb at 11:30
