There was plenty of anticipation around Hodakova’s show this season. Fresh from winning the LVMH Prize, practically the entire industry wondered what Ellen Hodakova Larsson was going to do next. How will she advance the brand and her aesthetic? Thankfully, with her FW25 collection, she didn’t buckle under the pressure. She presented a tasteful collection that mixed ready-to-wear with some of her trademark surrealist creations.

Leather belts exploded out of dresses like fringing, trousers were turned into tops, and violin strings were latticed together to form a chest piece over a shirt. The final look saw a model walk the runway wearing nothing but a cello. The collection was, evidently, inspired by music and you could call the collection symphonic — every section working together to make one cohesive collection.
