WIld horses

The Emporio Armani man has found his zen in nature
Fashion | 16 June 2024

Wild horses galloped across vast screens backdropping the Emporio Armani show. Freedom in Nature, read the SS25 collection title – transporting us from Milan to the boundless mid-west.

Here, amongst nature, the Emporio Armani man is overcome with a sense of lightness, softness and radiance. His wardrobe reflects this mindset, in lightweight wool blended with silk and detailed with linen and hemp, shoulders relaxed and silhouettes loose. Tunics floated in the breeze, blazers were fastened low on the torso, elongated to become overcoats, and accessories only added to the mood: woven straw hats and belts looped around bodies like equestrian saddlery. Patchwork and subtle denim distress nodded towards the homespun and hardworking, while easeful, pleated trousers folded at the waist and pooled towards the floor. Amongst the soft, neutral tones, a shimmering sequinned neck scarf worn beneath a low-cut shirt winked at memories of late-night glamour. A series of final looks cast in radiant lavender tones were mirrored by visuals of colourful lavender fields that filled the screens, bringing the show to a vibrant end.
